Our Home is Now Complete!

We bought a piano! Jen was wanting to get back into playing and of course we really want to be able to teach our children how to play. I want to learn as well and Jen has promised to teach me to play a little ditty.
Jen has always enjoyed these lines from a talk by W. Eugene Hansen of the Presidency of the Seventy:
Our living room furniture would never have made the cover of House Beautiful, but we did have two very significant items: we had a piano and we had a bookcase. How significant those two somewhat simple possessions were in the development of productive talents and interests so important in our early years.
The influence of good music and good books carried well over into the next generation. Even television has not replaced the piano and the bookcase in the lives of our families.

We hope to enjoy our piano in the years to come.

We love this quote as well. Thanks for sharing it. Congrats on the piano purchase. We worked hard to bring my great grandads (1,000 lb.) piano w/ us in our move. Sounds like you have the true necessities.

Nice! My wife hasn't asked for one yet. You'll have to tell me later how much it was. BTW, Jenn does look like the Jennifer on the Amazing Race.
